ICE CREAM!This weekend we got a special treat. As I mentioned before its been really hot, so Mom thought some doggy ice cream would be a great treat. She didn’t like the ingredients in the store variety, so she thought she would make it herself. Here’s the recipe she used:

•3 ripe bananas (mashed)
•3T. peanut butter
•32 oz. plain yogurt
Combine with mixer or blender, freeze in small cups, ice cube trays or ziplock bags.

Needless to say, it was REALLY good. So good, infact, that I proceeded to grab the entire scoop and eat it by myself. Ok, Daisy got a little bit. Some may call me pushy, I call it confidence. Can you fault me for knowing what I want and going after it?

And for the record, I stole (most of) the ice cream but Daisy then stole my bed. I let her have that small victory, because I’m nice like that.

Wags and woofs,
Ruby

Just gotta love a girl who knows what she wants and how to get it. Catie isn’t shy about getting her fair share and more either (for all his cheekiness, Riley knows who’s the boss). Catie’s very proud of you.

    Wags back.

Daisy wants some too! I occasionally go to the DQ drive through with her but don’t really like the quality of product I’m giving her. I’m going to try making some like yours. Thanks!

Catie–thanks! You look like a girl that would know….and you look talented to boot!

Kim here–love Daisy’s sweet face. The original recipe had honey (I think a couple Tablesp.) in it as well, which with that it was supposedly good for us “two paws” as well. I left the honey out, because I was thinking about the carb thing. Loved your comment about DQ–seriously, if I put as much thought into what I eat as what I feed Ruby I would be so healthy I couldn’t stand it!
    Thanks,
    Kim

94 yowsers. Where do you live at Gayle? I’m in Cincinnati, and its been really hot….but a cold front (80s for high, 50-60s for low) is moving in over the next couple of days–Woo hoo! I’m sure with those sweet brown eyes you can work your magic on your mom. Good luck!

Ruby, you are such a beautiful girl!

I talked the maid and the chauffeur into making some of your ice cream. You have to let Daisy have a little ice cream, just a little and she’ll give you your bed back.

    Take care, Shelby, the P.P.
