My name is Ruby. I am a orange belton English setter (in regular speak, white with red spot). I was born on Dec. 27, 2006. In March 2010, I underwent amputation surgery to my right rear leg for a malignant fibrosarcoma. This is my story of the day to day adventures that follow.
Other players in my story include:
Mom (aka Kim, personal asistant)
Daisy (my setter sister, she’s the black & white, much less attractive one)
I just started on this site & was hoping to find a blog about another tripawd English Setter. My setter, Charley, had his amputation last night and will come home today. Your Ruby is certainly a beautiful girl!!
Hi Rebecca,
Haven’t updated Ruby’s blog for awhile. Good thoughts and prayers heading Charlie’s way. If you have any questions, I’m more than happy to share any of our experiences. Tripawds was a life saver (or at least a sanity saver) for me, especially in those first few weeks. Ruby is now almost 7mo postamp. Would love to hear more about Charlie. Did Charlie already get his biopsy results?
Take care,
Kim
Ruby and Daisy’s mom
Charley was hit by a car last week — I’m just starting to blog at charleybuckaroo.tripawds.com . I’m sure you can understand my nervousness about such a high energy dog getting along on 3 legs…. 🙂 I think my biggest challenge will be getting him to rest and heal for awhile.
